Touro is proud to offer a fitness wellness center equipped with the gear and tools you need to improve and maintain your overall health. Touro Wellness Center staff members have extensive experience and are knowledgeable in all areas of health and fitness including cardiovascular exercise, muscular toning, weight control, and stress management. The Wellness Center’s goal is to help members achieve their fitness goals.
A variety of workout equipment is available to meet your fitness needs, including:
- 9 Precor treadmills
- 2 Schwinn Airdyne exercise bikes
- 5 Lifecycles (4 recumbent)
- 1 Concept II Indoor Rower
- 2 Stepmill Stairmasters
- 3 Precor Elliptical X-Trainers
- 2 Octane Fitness Seated Ellipticals
- 4 Monark Arm Ergometers
- Precor Weight Machines
- Free weights
Silver Sneakers
The Wellness Center also offers a free weekly fitness class for our 65+ community which includes Low Impact Aerobics and Strength Training, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-10:15 am in Touro’s Presidents Room on the 2nd floor.

Becoming a member
A Wellness Center membership includes:
- Completion and review of personal health assessment
- Discussion of fitness goals
- Cardiovascular orientation and exercise prescription
- Weight machine orientation (if requested)
- Diet diary review (if requested)
- Body composition analysis
Membership Cost
- Some insurance plans cover membership fees including People’s Health, Silver Sneakers, Silver+Fit, and Active+Fit.
- $20 per month for all members not covered by insurance.
- Free membership for Touro and subsidiary employees.
