Beyond my academic and intellectual interest in medicine and cardiology, I am committed to providing superior, evidence-based care grounded in science. My 40 years of experience have greatly enriched my clinical knowledge and enhanced my ability to deliver cutting edge care with a humanistic approach. I firmly believe in the science of medicine and have dedicated my career to lifelong learning, ensuring that my patients are active participants in a shared decision-making approach to their care. My national and international reputation in cardiology has afforded me access to the latest scientific advancements and the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues around the world.

My little something extra
My research in cardiology has allowed me to travel to more than 25 countries, where I’ve learned as much about local food and culture as I have shared medical science with my international colleagues. Travel has been—and continues to be—a major part of my life. I also enjoy being an amateur chef, and despite the wonderful food in New Orleans, I love cooking at least five nights a week. On top of that, I am an avid wine collector. I am an avid skier and scuba diver, and I’m currently re-learning how to play tennis.
