“ Touro babies are amazing! I am proud to say it’s where I come from, If you were born at Touro, then you will always be a NOLA baby!”

Meet Chedaphne Alexander-Audrict. Chedaphne comes from a long line of Touro babies. Here's her story...

Born at Touro, Chedaphne Alexander-Audrict is proud that she was a Touro baby because “Touro is where babies come from especially, NOLA babies!, “ she exclaims.

Chedaphne’s husband, daughters, siblings, nieces, and nephews are also Touro babies. She chose Touro because she wanted to make sure that she kept the family tradition alive. Her favorite memory of her delivery at Touro was the care and attention that she received.

A lifelong New Orleanian, formerly with Touro and now a cytotechnologist at LCMC, Chedaphne says her connection to Touro and New Orleans are very strong. Wherever she travels, people are intrigued by New Orleans.

“It's where I was born and raised. I am a part of the NOLA culture. It’s a culture that's unique yet embedded with class and soul.” And she adds proudly, “I am a New Orleans baby and a Touro baby!”

The legacy of Touro is one of that dedication, experience, and blessings to have been delivering babies for so long, according to Chedaphne. Everything because of God is her motto, and she feels fortunate to be afforded the opportunity to live, laugh, and love.

What is her message to Touro moms and babies?

“Touro babies are amazing! I am proud to say it’s where I come from. Welcome to the family. If you were born at Touro, then you will always be a NOLA baby!”
