“ Everyone works well together to figure out what’s best for the patient. It makes me feel wanted and cared for at Touro.”
"In 2016, I was diagnosed with HER2 negative breast cancer in my left breast. It was very aggressive form of cancer. I had a mastectomy and breast reconstruction surgery. I had my surgery and treatment at Touro Infirmary. I began coming to the Cancer Rehabilitation Center inconsistently after my surgery. I wasn’t putting myself first. After a trip to Amsterdam, my arm blew up like a balloon. It was hard and lumpy. I called my nurse, and I told them that I needed to come back to therapy. I have been to every appointment since July 2018. I owe it to myself to take care of myself. The rehab program is awesome! Frannie and Lil are great! Everyone works well together to figure out what’s best for the patient. It makes me feel wanted and cared for at Touro. They feel invested in me. It’s like Cheers here. I want to go where everyone knows their name"
