Speakers and bios
Yvette S. Folse, MD
Dr. Folse is board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and serves as the Medical Director of the Touro Rehabilitation Center. A graduate of LSU School of Medicine, she brings decades of experience in advancing patient-centered rehabilitation care.
Matthew Cutrer, MD
Dr. Cutrer is double board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Interventional Pain Medicine. His expertise includes advanced techniques such as targeted injections and neuromodulation to treat complex neurological and musculoskeletal pain conditions.
Jessica Schultz, MBA, OT
Jessica Schultz is the Senior Director of Rehabilitation and Home Health at Touro, with over 25 years of experience as an occupational therapist and nearly two decades in healthcare leadership. She is passionate about leadership development and driving employee engagement.
Penny Metzger, DPT, ATP
Penny Metzger is a physical therapist at Touro specializing in spinal cord injury rehabilitation. She is a certified Assistive Technology Professional and a frequent guest lecturer at LSU Health Sciences Center, Department of Physical Therapy.
Nicole Laviolette, SLP
Nicole Laviolette is a speech-language pathologist at Touro who specializes in treating patients with neurological conditions. She co-facilitates the Aphasia Support Group and has presented at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s annual meeting on assistive technology in hospital settings.
Elena Miller, SLP
Elena Miller works with adults with neurological conditions at Touro and co-facilitates the Aphasia Support Group. She also leads a weekly music group, integrating music into the rehabilitation process to support recovery.
Maureen Herring, M.Ed, OT
Maureen Herring is a Rehabilitation Services Educator at Touro who integrates occupational therapy, yoga, and massage principles to promote wellness. She focuses on teaching breathing, movement, and touch as tools for both patient and staff well-being.
Holly Pellerito, LOTR
Holly Pellerito is an occupational therapist and supervisor at Touro Rehabilitation Center specializing in spinal cord injury care. She has presented regionally on emergency preparedness for vulnerable populations.
Lilly Logan, M.A, EdD candidate
Lily Logan is a scholar in interpersonal communications and organizational dynamics with a master’s degree in mass communications. Drawing from research and practice, she is fluent in sharing human-centered strategies that improve dialogue and strengthen workplace culture, particularly in high-stakes, emotionally demanding environments.
