Children’s Hospital of New Orleans
Compassionate care for children in New Orleans
Children’s Hospital of New Orleans is a not-for-profit academic pediatric medical center offering a comprehensive range of healthcare services including preventive care, routine childhood treatments, and lifesaving care from our specialists. With 224 beds, over 40 pediatric specialties, and more than 100 subspecialists, it is the only free-standing, full-service hospital exclusively for children in Louisiana and the Gulf South.
At Children’s Hospital, we treat our patients, not just their condition. Our highly trained staff of physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals has the experience needed to quickly diagnose, treat, or prevent illness and injury while maintaining exceptional personal service. We work hard to ensure that our young patients and their families feel comfortable and well cared for throughout their visit – we will do whatever is needed to make your child feel at ease during their time with us.
We are especially prepared to handle patients in critical condition. Our hospital is the place to go for immediate, high-quality care thanks to our three unique intensive care units.
The facility includes:
- A 36-bed neonatal intensive care unit (NICU)
- An 18-bed pediatric intensive care unit (PICU)
- A 20-bed cardiac intensive care unit (CICU), the only one dedicated entirely to the care of cardiac patients from birth to adulthood in Louisiana
The volume of skilled specialists we employ allows us to provide specialized services that no other facility in Louisiana offers. Parents bring their kids to Children’s Hospital because they trust our state-of-the-art technologies, advanced treatment methods, and experienced physicians. Last year, Children’s Hospital cared for children from 43 states, 9 countries, and all 64 parishes in Louisiana
